Wilma Parker

Wilma Parker is a Cocker Spaniel breeder-judge who has been involved with the breed since 1978. She and her husband of 43 years, Sam, are life members of the American Spaniel Club and live near Cincinnati, Ohio. Breeding cockers under the Triannon prefix, Wilma's special favorites were Ch Triannon Wilma P, the first tri color in breed history to win an ASC Futurity and the top winning parti bitch for 1981, and her brown bitches, Ch Triannon Monkey Business and Ch Triannon Godiva.

Wilma has served ASC in various capacities and include: National Specialty Show Chair held in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1989; as ASC Vice President and as director and coordinator for Breeder/Judges programs. She has served on the Ethics Committee, the Media Committee, and as part of the ASC website team, and she's been Chair of National Nominating Committee, an ASC-F Director, ASC-F Public Communications Chair, and served on the ASC-F Scientific Research work group, and as coordinator for the first, BreedCare DNA collection clinic. Her current passion is as curator for ASC artifacts, and lead for its Archival Project and on the workgroup for the upcoming 125 year ASC Anniversary book.

In 1991, Wilma judged Futurity bitches at the ASC National Specialty, and the Black Variety in 1995. She will judge the Black Variety, and Best of Breed this summer at the 2005 ASC National Specialty in Perry Georgia, USA.

Wilma and Sam share their life today with one cocker spaniel, "Charlie P." and two cats, Hazel-Nut and Phineas.
